The Story Behind Comfyi

My name is Kathryn Haslam director at Muscle Therapy Massage and Comfyi. I’ve been a qualified masseuse for over 20 years and been lucky enough to work across Europe alongside some great Osteopaths and Physiotherapists. During that time I became increasingly frustrated that I couldn’t find a massage table headrest cushion which delivers on the main 3 things, comfort, support and hygiene. The headrest cushion is of great importance as, if your client’s face is uncomfortable in the prone position they will, naturally, try to raise their face to take the pressure away thus putting strain on their lower back. So 3 years of prototyping, 8 month’s testing at Lancaster University and Duku Design in Cheltenham and a Patent pending, Comfyi is finally ready to launch.   • The Comfyi locator plate is fixed to the universal plastic plate of the massage table headrest with the Velcro tabs provided ( these universal headrest plate fixtures are provided within most massage tables sold)
  • The Comfyi locator plate now fixed has 2 locator holes, the Comfyi cushion has 2 sets of raised locator knobs which when placed onto the plate provide maximum stability and comfort for different face shapes.

How does Comfyi protect my face against lines on the skin?

Comfyi has no sewn cover so no seams to cause line pressure points on the skin.

How is Comfyi more hygienic than other therapy cushions on the market?

Comfyi is moulded with an integral skin which can be wiped over with anti bacterial spray after every use. As this design has no sewn seams there is nowhere bacteria can be trapped.

Other therapy cushions seem too soft and squash my eyes when I lie face down. Will it protect my eyes, make up and false eyelashes?

Yes, Comfyi is different, it is supportive enough to protect your eyes when you are laying face down, the weight of your head when placed in the cushion can, as with other cushions, sink too much encroaching on the eye area, Comfyi is soft yet supportive enough to support the weight of your head whilst still protecting your eyes.

Can I buy the Comfyi cushion separately from buying the plate again in the future?

Yes the Cushion or plate can be purchased separately if needed.
